Shire Horse Experience Days
Visit our farm in North Pembrokeshire and join us for an on Farm Experience Day. Treat yourself, a partner or a friend to a fun day working with our Shire Horses. Experience Days are open to all ages and abilities and will be individually tailored. The experience lasts approximately 4 hours and includes tea and cake. John has many years experience and been awarded the Welsh Horse Ploughing Champion on many occasions, most recently in 2019.
We have a choice of activities available:
- Meeting the Shires, grooming & washing
- Harnessing the Shires ready to be worked.
- Learn about the different parts of the harness and its use
- Learn how to long rein a single or pair of Shire Horses in our arena
- Ploughing is available but has seasonal restrictions
- Have a go at connecting the Shires to a chain harrow or exercise vehicle and learn to drive
A final rub down and dinner for the horses, tea and cake for the humans
Our team of Award Winning Black Shire Horses are available for a variety of events and activities all year round. We cover all areas of Wales but will happily travel further afield if required. Every event or activity carries full insurance.
Experience Days are £100 with an additional person charged at £50. All Experience Days can be individually tailored. Gift Vouchers are available. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
